Four week small group experience. March 10, 17, 24 and 31 from 630 to 830 pm Ever go to service on Sunday and say, "Yes, I want this Truth in my life" but then forget to apply the principle when the weekdays roll around? Connection Circles are informal groups that focus on just that: supporting one another in applying the Sunday message every day. Beginning March 10th, from 6:30-8:30 pm, Reverend Marla will host the first such group. These small groups are free, last about 4 weeks, and focus on the message theme for the month. The first group will be a pilot test so you can tell us how such groups can work best for you. We are asking those that register to commit to attend all four sessions. Please sign up by e-mailing Enid Wood at [masked] or sign up at the Ask Me desk after Sunday service. If you have completed SOM 100 and are interested in facilitating future Connection Circles, please join this first group.
BIG CHANGE IN PLANS!!! This week, I am shipping out 400 copies of the Gaian Tarot Limited Edition deck & book set. I had a "packing party" at my house on Saturday and several Meeter-Uppers were there. We didn't quite finish packing all the decks and several people suggested that we continue at this week's Meetup. Hope ya'll don't mind - it was a lot of fun! You can see photos from yesterday's party here: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=47988&id=1002984375&l=1d72312b40 So we won't be studying the cards this time, just hanging out together and being a community. It will be at my house, NOT Lee & Elaine's -- directions to follow. You can come as early as 5:30 PM and stay 'til 9PM-ish. Please bring munchies. (We do have lots of Girl Scout cookies left over from yesterday!) :-) And no problem at all if you decide you'd rather not come! I won't be offended. :-) Brightest Blessings!

The Strategy Sessions are a time to bring those lessons together and look to the future. Staff will talk through national strategy and simultaneously gather feedback from our supporters for our plan to lead OFA forward in 2010.

3.1 miles one way (We'll probably go about 5 miles round trip) Dogs are welcome on this walk! The trail begins with a gradual slope through lush forest to the interpretive kiosk at the lakeshore. Find information here about the history of Lake Whatcom and its importance to our community as the source of our drinking water. The trail then follows the railroad grade of the Bellingham & Eastern Railway along the shores of Lake Whatcom. Enjoy views of Lake Whatcom and surrounding hills plus waterfalls and giant old Douglas fir trees. We'll be power walking this flat trail for a great workout. Directions: Trailhead is located near the end of Northshore Drive. From Bellingham follow Northshore Drive east to near the road end. Follow signs to parking. Fully accessible parking and access is 0.25 miles farther towards the lake from the main parking area.
Check out our Sunday service. Great music, a dynamic message, and loving community...it's all right here. Children and teen program meets during the service. Ask one of our ushers for more info. If your kids are more comfortable hanging with you, they are also welcome in the service.
Rain or Shine. Dogs on leash welcome. Let's walk along the water this afternoon. We'll walk along Roeder Ave until we hit Anthonys restaurant, then turn towards the water, go around the marina & Zunanich park, continue north along Roeder, up the connector street by Squalicum Beach to Eldridge street and down Eldridge street back to Holly street. Approximately 4 miles for the entire walk - and it's flat, except for the one little hill that takes us up to Eldridge Street. Bundle up. If it's windy, it's colder here along the water than anywhere else in town and there are not many hills to warm up on. On the flip side - it is lighted, no mud holes to slog through and there are bathrooms! See you there! ~Jean

Lower body weighted workout and Abs work, plus a little cardio depending on your schedule. Machines and/or free weights. We'll meet up at the front desk right at 6:45am, then go into our individual workouts. Knowing that others are there is helpful for my accountability - so I'm hoping it is helpful for yours as well. If people want to bring a non-meet up person/workout buddy, go for it. Since it's just me right now as I write this, I'll be the one wearing a black t-shirt and shorts working my way through the machines down the center of Bellingham Fitness Gym before going to the free weights section. Come say hi - Let me know you're arrived and perhaps when we get to the Abs part or Cardio section of the workout, we can stair step together and chat...? Enjoy ~ Jean
